Nicodemus,
who was a later disciple of Yeshua and a Pharisee just like Paul, had great
knowledge and understanding concerning the scriptures. So why do we treat him as
though he could not understand a, supposedly, simple concept? Perhaps it is not
that simple. Is it possible that the scriptural basis of this new birth has
roots in history that even pre-date YHVH's instructions given to Moses at
YHVH has recently shown me something new in his word and since there is a
greater judgment, and reward, for those who DO and TEACH YHVH's people; I am
hoping that folks are open to some potentially new light.
I have developed a series of teaching videos that discuss what I refer to as the
Process of Becoming Born Again. It is a series of 5 videos that take people from
a "christian" perspective to a Hebraic understanding of what it means
to be Born Again, according to the law and the Prophets. I do not think it an
accident that Yeshua spoke to Nicodemus during the feast of Unleavened Bread and
maybe even on the first day.
In my videos I try first to tear down many of the “false images” that most
Christians and many Messianic believers have in their minds; if I do not do this
they have no room for the true and righteous teachings that YHVH has for His
people. So, with that in mind, part 1 of my series tries to separate the last
supper and Passover. Only Passover meets the requirements set aside for us in
YHVH’s instructions concerning Passover; and Yeshua could only die on that
day. In other words, the last supper had
NOTHING to do with the Passover! It was simply the “last supper” that Yeshua
had with his disciples, nothing more.
But something did happen during that “last supper,” Yeshua changed a
TRADITION concerning Kiddush. He said from now on when you do it “Remember
Me!” This is the teaching for part 2. The bread and the wine is not a
sacrament it is a TRADITION.
In part 3 I begin to teach the Way of Life; to help folks understand that the
Way of Life will eventually lead us to the cross; NOT the other way around. The
cross has its roots in Passover.
In part 4 I try to help people understand that the church, the called out ones,
are CALLED INTO something and that something is Israel. Baptism was and still
is, or should be, an expatriation from the world and a joining of ones self to
YHVH’s holy nation.
Finally, in part 5, I teach the process which every man must pass through on his
journey from a ben nekar (one born in the kingdom of his first birth) through
becoming an ezrach (one born into the kingdom of his second birth) as one born
in the land. Our Father’s covenant to us always concerns two things, the seed
and the land! Passover relates to both!
I will say that it has cost me everything to follow YHVH, wife, children, home,
friends, everything! I have lived 10 years without any ties to the world; I have
do not even have so much as a bank account, SSN, or DL. I say this not to say
that I am more holy than anyone else, but I do take my citizenship in YHVH’s
kingdom, Israel, very seriously and I will not make covenants with the kingdoms
of the gentiles as I am YHVH's ambassador. My whole purpose for life is to
promote YHVH’s image and kingdom in the world and to feed His sheep. I believe
that Seder both adds and subtracts from YHVH’s word and instructions
concerning His feast.
